Claire moved to Edinburgh in 1999 to study at Edinburgh College of Art where she recieved a BA (hons) in Tapestry. After this she completed a post-graduate degree at Glasgow School of Art gaining an MPHIL in 2D/3D Motion Graphics.

In October last year Claire was chosen by Scottish Screen from over 150 candidates to be part of their 10 month Generating Animation Skills Programme (G.A.S.P) which is designed to supply essential and exciting hands on studio experience within Scotland's animation industry. Through this she was placed with two fantastic Glasgow based animation studios, Once Were Farmers and Axis Animation. There she was able to gain valuable experience working on several live projects including the in-show stings for the BBC's Christmas special, The Perfect TV Detective, Mondo's Search for the Sun, Mass Effects 2, The Ark and two Scottish Power adverts.
